About
Kolkata's intellectual powerhouse, born of the swadeshi-era National Council of Education, combining an elite engineering faculty with India's most storied comparative literature and arts departments. Engineering cutoffs rival the IITs while annual fees stay under fifty dollars for locals. The campus is famous for its fierce debate culture, film societies and left-leaning student politics.
